Ph.D. in Computer Science - Medical Image Processing
During my PhD I worked on a fully automatic method for the 3D segmentation of lower abdomen structures in CT images. To this end I used a variety of techniques, including deformable models, probabilistic shape models and mathematical morphology tools.
The results of my research are being integrated into a radiotherapy planning software by the company Dosisoft, in the frame of the European Project MAESTRO (Methods and Advanced Equipment for Simulation and Treatment in Radio Oncology).
I have defended my Ph.D. thesis in March 2008.
